The roof and wall covering combines metal/shingle, stone and wood, which are strongly represented here in the valley of the Salamandra Resort. The chalet building is set into the hillside, facing the forest. It is built where the older ruins of a building belonging to the local mining company used to stand. The anthracite, black and gold or silver metallic materials in the interior may recall the industrial mining past and present of the region. Gold is still mined here today. In the structures of various elements in the chalet's interior, there is a reference to the world-famous Hodruš lace. The woven designs can be seen in the pattern of the wallpaper, the gallery railings and the staircase, or the woven metal hanging lamps whose shadows decorate the clay plaster of the living room area.
